Be Part of the UK’s Leading Wildfire Event in 2026
Following the success of the 2024 conference in Aberdeen, and earlier events, the biennial UK Wildfire Conference has established itself as a must-attend event. This year’s conference is expected to welcome over 250 delegates across two days.
The theme for Wildfire2026 is ‘New Perspectives – Shared Solutions’, reflecting the urgent need to rethink how we approach wildfire challenges and recognising that no single perspective can address the complexity of fire risk. By sharing knowledge, experiences, and strategies, we aim to create solutions that are informed, inclusive, and effective, helping communities, policymakers, and professionals to respond to wildfires more resiliently.
We particularly encourage submissions from authors in the following areas:
Emerging or new wildfire threats
Management of wildfires in complex environments
New wildfire technologies
New perspectives from sectors or organisations who haven’t previously attended UK Wildfire Conferences
We are inviting speakers and posters with an interest in wildfire, whether practitioner or researcher, or from inside or outside the UK. Proposals for both speaker presentations and posters that can demonstrate clear links to the conference theme are warmly welcomed.
Details about how to submit can be found below. Deadline for submissions 24 April 2026. We will aim to let authors know about the outcome by early June 2026.
