Vimpex has been designing and manufacturing life-safety equipment in Essex since 1994. We are an independent company, and export to over 90 markets. Our Notification division makes fire alarm sounders, beacons and voice sounders in the UK. Our Rescue division supplies UK fire and rescue services with technical rescue equipment, protective equipment and firefighter decontamination systems. That includes a wildland firefighting range of hand tools, water equipment and certified helmets, built for the outdoor fire season rather than adapted from structural kit.

Vimpex Inforest
Vimpex is the UK supplier of Inforest wildland firefighting equipment, developed by an Argentinian manufacturer with over 20 years' experience in outdoor fire scenarios. The range covers hand tools, backpacks and water equipment including backpack pumps — durable, field-proven kit designed specifically for wildland operations rather than adapted from structural firefighting. With outdoor fire incidents rising and the UK fire season extending, the range gives crews and land managers affordable, purpose-built equipment for both large-scale wildfires and smaller outdoor incidents.
Vimpex PAB MP1 Professional Helmet
The PAB MP1 Professional is a multipurpose helmet certified to EN 16471 for wildland firefighting and EN 16473 for technical rescue, allowing crews to carry a single helmet across both roles. It combines a flame-retardant thermoplastic shell with shell ventilation, reflective tape for low-light visibility, E3 electrical insulation and a size adjustment system from 52 to 64cm at a weight of approximately 850g. Integrated anti-fog goggles, optional visors, neck protectors and lamp holders allow it to be specified to task. Vimpex is the exclusive UK and Ireland distributor for PAB helmets.
