Fire Brigades Union

The Fire Brigades Union (FBU) is the authoritative, professional voice of firefighters across the UK. The union represents the vast majority of firefighters in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, including wholetime and retained operational firefighters and control staff.

The FBU is the professional voice of firefighters and the fire and rescue service. The FBU improves members’ working conditions and represents them at work; they provide a leading, independent voice for firefighters that helps improve fire and rescue services and they ensure the expertise and experience of their members is heard locally, nationally and internationally within government and beyond.
