WILDFIRE2026 KEYNOTE SPEAKER

Elsa Pastor

Full Professor at the Technical University of Catalonia - BarcelonaTech

Presentation Overview

Wildfires are increasingly affecting facilities located at the wildland–industrial interface, creating the potential for cascading technological accidents, service disruptions, and environmental impacts. This keynote will explore the emerging challenges associated with wildfire exposure of industrial infrastructure, present recent advances in vulnerability and risk assessment methodologies, and discuss practical strategies to strengthen resilience and preparedness in a changing wildfire regime.
